  1. Congrats! I knew this was one of your goals; didn’t realize you also had family ties and that makes it all the richer. hugs all ’round!!
    Best, Katie & Brian

    • Thanks! My grandmother’s side of the family had some interesting history. She was descended from loyalists who moved to Canada during the Revolutionary War.

  2. Congratulations on becoming a Canadian citizen. It is good to have you as one of us. Next time our paths cross I will teach you the secret “Canuck” handshake!!!!!

    • Thanks Denis. The last time I attempted the secret Canuck handshake I somehow ended up with a hockey puck in my pocket. I hate when that happens.

  3. Hey Jim,

Regarding “some on both sides of the border with mixed feelings,” there is no reason to care about that so long as YOU are feeling joyful about it. Personally, I decided to carefully evaluate and clearly define my own position about it, only to discover that I don’t have one.

Regarding health care, may you never need it. “Health care” isn’t healthy, and it is a misnomer. It would more appropriately be called “sick care” or “badly bent and broken care.” Real health care is eating dark leafy greens and supplementing with Ganoderma lucidum.

You identified Faye as your “wife.” Apparently our invitation to the wedding got lost in the mail …

If you ever want to re-visit the land of your other citizenship, It would be wonderful to have you come hang out with us for a day or two. It has been waaay to long.

Oh–something that just popped into my mind–we are currently offering for sale that Blazer that would have been parked where you parked the day the forest attacked your Subaru. The last remnant of our construction years.
